2017 ends with a bang, crash and boom

   The New Year’s holiday weekend in Emanuel County accounted for four serious motor vehicle wrecks on roadways.

   Starting at 4:43 p.m. on Friday, Dec.29, Swainsboro Fire and Police Departments, Emanuel County EMS, and deputies with the Emanuel County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a crash on North Main Street at Ponderosa Drive for a 2-vehicle crash. The female and male occupants of a Nissan Maxima sedan were transported to Emanuel Medical Center by EMS after their car was struck from behind by a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck.
