Nine sentenced in Superior Court

   In the Emanuel County Superior Court’s October 2017 term, the following individuals were sentenced:

   Martin Gregory Scott negotiated a plea of guilty on one count possession of cocaine. He was sentenced to six years probation.

   Michael Johnson negotiated a plea of guilty (Alford) on one count theft by conversion. He received seven years probation.

   The January 2018 term of the Emanuel County Grand Jury convened Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2018, with The Honorable Sherri P. McDonald sitting for The Honorable Robert S. Reeves.

   The district attorney’s office presented 21 bills of indictment to the grand jury, and the grand jury returned 21 true bills.
