Recently, Zachary Wood received his Bachelor’s of Applied Science in Natural Resource Management degree while enrolled at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC). Wood was an active member of the student chapter of the Wildlife Society and served as the chapter’s 2016-2017 vice president. He also worked at ABAC as a math, science, and forest resource tutor.

He will begin a seasonal job with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources this spring, where he will participate in habitat management and manipulation for non-game wildlife species on state lands including, Emanuel County’s own Ohoopee Dunes Wildlife Management Area.

Wood plans to continue his education by attending graduate school at the University of Georgia in 2019. He graduated from Swainsboro High School in 2013, and he is the son of Wanda and Spencer Wood.
