Jonathan Woodrow Mimbs, 43

   Funeral services for Jonathan Woodrow Mimbs, 43, of Swainsboro were held Saturday, Dec. 23, 2017, in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home at 2 p.m. with Reverend Conway Jones officiating. Interment followed in the Mount Zion Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. He passed away Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2017, at Emanuel Medical Center.

   Mr. Jonathan Woodrow Mimbs was born February 23, 1974, in Swainsboro to Mark Mimbs and Patricia Hudson Mimbs. He loved doing yard work, fishing, drinking sweet tea, and cooking. He especially loved his family. Mimbs was of the Baptist Faith, and he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Woodrow Mimbs and Gladys Mimbs, and maternal grandparents, Joseph Hudson and Betty D. Hudson.

   Survivors include his parents, Mark Mimbs of Soperton and Patricia Mimbs of Swainsboro; wife, Missy Mimbs of Swainsboro; son, Jon Mark Mimbs of Valdosta; stepson, Tyler Roberson of Swainsboro; stepdaughter, Courtney (Kyle) Hooks of Swainsboro; sisters, Jodi (Craig) Griner and Samentha (Chris) Kight, both of Soperton; father-in-law, L.C. (Teresa) Clark of Bartow; mother-in-law, Patricia Clark of Louisville; grandson, Hudson Hooks of Swainsboro; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

    Pallbearers were L.C. Clark, Jr., James Kersey, Tim White, Ricky Beck, Lee Page, and Jerry Akridge. Honorary pallbearers were the employees of Northern Clearing.

   Chapman Funeral Home of Swainsboro was in charge of arrangements.
