Debra Kellam Braswell, 57

   Funeral services for Debra Kellam Braswell, 57, of Swainsboro were held Monday, Dec. 4, 2017, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Reverend Burton Dixon officiating. Interment followed at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery. She passed away Friday, Dec. 1, 2017, at Emanuel Medical Center following an extended illness.

   Ms. Debra Kellam Braswell was born August 1, 1960, in Swainsboro to John Fleming Kellam III and Lula Bell Radford Kellam. She loved painting, making flower arrangements, and her family and five dogs. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Kite, and she was preceded in death by her father.

   Survivors include her mother, Lula Bell Kellam of Kite; daughter, Nicole “Nikki” Braswell of Twin City; son, Cole (Amy) Braswell of Griffin; sister, Mary Duffy of Swainsboro; grandchildren, Laylah Braswell and Elijah Braswell; nephew, Joe Duffy; caregiver, Phyllis Curl; and extended family and friends.

   Pallbearers were Cody Usry, Ryan McClaine, Lee Ogburn, Avery Duffy, Justin Hodges, and Ben Braswell.

   Chapman Funeral Home of Swainsboro is in charge of arrangements.

    My condolences and prayers to the family. Hoping that you find peace and comfort during this difficult time.
    Our heavenly father is aware of the pain we feel when we have loss someone special. He longs to see them alive and well. Since he is all powerful, he promises to make that hope a reality. We only need to hold on a little while longer. John 5:28-29
