Public notice for Twin City residents: Siren testing November 13

by | November 9, 2017 5:04 pm

As part of creating an emergency preparedness plan, the Twin City police and fire departments will run a test blast of the Twin City Fire Department’s siren for several minutes around 1 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 13. The sounding will not signal an emergency; it will be only a test. The fire department will continue testing the siren on the first Monday of each month at approximately 1 p.m. after the sounding next Monday. Information will follow regarding how the siren will be used for emergency alerts in the event of tornado or other possible events.
