Nora Mae Heath Morrison, 91

   Graveside services for Nora Mae Heath Morrison, 91, of Swainsboro were held Saturday, Nov. 25, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Heath Family Cemetery near Soperton. She died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2017.

   Mrs. Nora Mae Heath Morrison was born October 27, 1926, in Soperton, Treutlen County, to the late George and Alean Scott Heath. Living most of her life in Swainsboro, she retired after 35 years from Swainsboro Sportswear. She loved fishing and traveling, and was a member of Dellwood Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Morrison was preceded in death by her husband, James Morrison; brother, Joe Heath; and three great-grandchildren.

   Survivors include one daughter, Betty Ann Bush Kitchens of Dellwood; one son, James Larry Morrison of Swainsboro; two sisters, Julia Spivey of Vidalia and Geraldine Horne of Adrian; one brother, Tommy Heath of Adrian; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and neices, nephews, and extended family.

   Pallbearers were Matt Horne, Alvin Heath, James Bush, Eric Morrison, Jeffery Wiggins, Jeff Wiggins, AJ Dudley, and Heath Dudley.

   In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made in her honor to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude PL, Memphis, TN, 38105-9959, or Paralyzed Veterans of America, Southeastern Chapter, 4010 Deans Bridge Rd., Hephzibah, GA, 30815.

   Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors was in charge of arrangements.
