Emanuel County Young Farmers host 3rd annual Breeding Glit Show

   The Emanuel County Young Farmers recently held a breeding gilt show for all 4-H and FFA members in Emanuel County. The show was a great success and was only made possible by local businesses sponsoring the prize money and awards.

   There were 37 registered breeding gilts shown by 29 Emanuel county youth.

   Platinum level sponsors for the event were Durden Banking Co., Jump and Run Feeds, and Chapman Funeral Home.

   Gold sponsors were Citizens Bank, Emanuel Peanut and Grain, Queensborough Bank, Swainsboro Ford, and Emanuel County Farm Bureau.

   Silver level contributors were Persons Bank, Central Fence Company, Daniels Chevrolet, Swainsboro Supply, Famous Credit, Ag South Farm Credit, and Dixie Livestock.

   Other contributors included YardMaster and Emanuel County Young Farmers.

   Winners of Showmanship were as follows: Pre-K through second grade, Amelia Meadows; third through fifth grade, Aaralyn Grimes; sixth through eighth grade, Millie Hooks; and ninth through 12th grade, Makayla Clifton.
