Funeral services for Paula Dell Grube, 75, of Canoochee were held Friday, Sept. 29, 2017, at Canoochee Missionary Baptist Church at 11 a.m. with Pastor Mark Wiggins and Rev. Louis Pearce officiating. Interment followed in the Canoochee Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. She passed away Monday night, Sept. 25, 2017, at St. Joesph’s Candler in Savannah following an extended illness.
Mrs. Paula Dell Grube was born January 7, 1942, in Inverness, Fla., to the late Joel Kershaw and Florence Bellamy Kershaw. She moved from Lakeland, Fla., to Blairsville in 1997, where she lived until moving to Canoochee in 2010. Grube loved fishing, hinting, and singing. She went to nursing homes as a member of the group 5 Alive, where the group would sing gospel music. Grube also had a passion for growing Chrismas cactuses. She was a member of Canoochee Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday School Teacher and sang in the choir. Grube was proceeded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Rick Grube of Canoochee; son, William Maybrey (Terri) Raulerson; step-son, Ricky (Robin) Grube of Lakeland, Fla.; sister, Claudia (Jim) Hawkins of Ft. Gaines; step-mother, Ruby Kershaw; previous husband, Bud Raulerson; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Pallbearers were Scotty Nasworthy, Randall Kersey, Corbin Wiggins, Phil Tatum, Ralph Page, and Walt Allen. Honorary pallbearers were Canoochee Missionary Baptist Church Women’s Sunday school class.
