James Dwight Kirby, 51

   Funeral services for James Dwight Kirby, 51, of Midway were held in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 6, 2017, with Reverends Tim Hicks and Jim Harrell officiating. Interment followed in the New Hope Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. He passed away Monday, Oct. 2, 2017, at his residence following a brief illness.

   Mr. James Dwight Kirby was born June 2, 1966, in Swainsboro to Willie Milton Kirby and Catherine Wiggins Kirby. He lived most of his life in Emanuel County up until four years prior to his passing when he moved to Liberty County. He loved working with wood, and he enjoyed fishing. Kirby was a member of Swainsboro Primitive Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father; maternal grandparents, Cordie Wiggins and Dora Mae Wiggins; and paternal grandparents, Otis Kirby and Irene Kirby.

   Survivors include his mother, Catherine Kirby of Nunez; brothers, Mark (Sheila) Kirby and Greg Kirby, both of Nunez; sisters, Connie Beasley of Twin City and Cyndi Kirby Folds of Canoochee; and aunts, uncles, niece, nephews, and friends.

   Pallbearers were Wesley Wiggins, Garry Coleman, Rod Wiggins, Matt Wiggins, Stevie Riner, Timothy Webb, Jeff Kirby, and Patrick Kirby.

   Chapman Funeral Home of Swainsboro was in charge of arrangements.
