Elizabeth Mincey Mills Welch, 90

   Funeral services for Elizabeth Mincey Mills Welch, 90, were held Friday, Oct. 2, 2017, at 10 a.m. in Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel with Reverend Franklin Sasser officiating. Interment followed in Hebron Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Garfield. She passed away Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2017, at Emanuel Medical Center.

Mrs. Elizabeth Mincey Mills Welch was born February 3, 1927, in Garfield to the late Willie and Ada Bell Hendley Mincey. She was retired from ECI in Twin City, and lived and worked on the family farm next to 15 Mile Creek. Welch was a member of Twin City First Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, C. L. Welch and Robbie F. Mills Sr.; her sons, Glen L. Mills, Robbie F. Mills Jr., and Ricky Mills; her sisters, Louise Moore, Ruth Mewbourne, and Thelma Mincey; and her brothers, Lynwood Mincey and Curtis Mincey.

Survivors include three sons, Ronald Mills of Twin City, David (Joy) Mills of Garfield, and Charles Mills of Marietta; 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors was in charge of arrangements.
