Funeral services for Bobby Mason Peebles, 82, of Adrian will be held Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Emanuel Christian Ministries Church with Rev. Bunny Hudson and Rev. Brad McKenzie officiating. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 12:30 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow in the Swainsboro City Cemetery. He passed away Sunday, Oct. 8, 2017, at his residence.
Mr. Bobby Mason Peebles was born March 23, 1935, in Swainsboro to the late Mason Allen and Mary Murphy Peebles. He served in the National Guard, retired with the United States Postal Service, and was a Baptist. Peebles was an avid hunter and fisherman. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Bonnie Palmer Peebles; a daughter, Linda Peebles Canady; and a grandson, Zack Lively.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Webb Peebles of Adrian; two daughters, Lynn (Keith) Thompson of Swainsboro and Lisa (Jimmy) Lively of Punta Gorda, Fla.; three step-daughters, Angela Cowart and Tamela(Danny) Powell, both of Savannah, and Lea (Jack) Hogan of Skidaway Island; one step-son, Johnny Myles (Rachel) Webb of Pooler; two brothers, Roger (Mary Ann) Peebles of Swainsboro and Dr. Jimmy(Belinda) Peebles of Augusta; five grandchildren, Kal Thompson, Brandon (Liz) Paige, Brian (Charlotte) Page, Candice Canady, and Tori (Lee) Lively; 10 step-grandchildren, Chase Cowart, Chad Cowart, Tyler Watson, Ashton Odom, Tanner Grant, Shane Hogan, Matthew Hogan, Anna Hogan, Adalynn Webb, and Mickey Youmans; and seven great-grandchildren, Presleigh Lively, Cash Lively, Charlie Paige, Grayson Paige, Ava Paige, Braylen Johnson, and Aubrey Johnson.
Pallbearers will be Fred Braswell, Barney Kea, Raymond Riner, Lanier Tapley, Johnny Williams, and Danny Palmer.
Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.
