Gethsemane Missionary Baptist to celebrate Veterans Day

   On Sunday, Nov. 5, at 2 p.m., Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church will host its third annual Veterans Day program. This program will honor those who have served our country. Dublin group to perform at Mount Shady’s fifth Sunday song service

   Mount Shady Baptist Church will host its fifth Sunday song service October 29 beginning at 10 a.m.

   Hand ‘n Hand from Dublin will be the guest singers for this service. This group has not been to Mounty Shady in years, thus the church looks forward to their return.

Union Grove Methodist works to help Weekend Blessings

   The children and youth of Union Grove United Methodist Church recently celebrated Children’s Sabbath in song and scripture for the congregation. The focus area was child poverty in Emanuel County. The children and families of the church collected 368 individual lunch servings, such as macaroni and cheese, spaghetti, and ravioli for the Weekend Blessings program. The children enjoyed fellowship and refreshments after the service.


Stillmore MBC announces revival plans

   Stillmore Missionary Baptist Church will be in revival October 29 through November 1. Rev. Wilford McCormick of Jacksonville, Fla., will be the featured speaker.

   Sunday’s services will take place at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m., while services on Monday through Wednesday will commence at 7 p.m.

   Rev. George E. Archer Jr., pastor, invites all.


Smith Grove Missionary Baptist to hold fall festival

   On Saturday, Oct. 28, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Smith Grove Missionary Baptist Church will hold its second annual fall festival. Food and treats will be available. Rev. Wilbert Kennedy, deacon Aldrich Marion, and the congregation encourage the community to attend.


Fall festival to be held at Pages of Life

   On Monday, Oct. 31, from 5 – 8 p.m., Pages of Life Christian Worship Center will host its 14th annual fall festival. This free event will feature food, treats, and a special movie night. Those attending for the movie should bring their own blanket and/or chairs.

   The church is located at 109 Jackson Street in Swainsboro, and the festival is made possible by its Young Youth for Christ Ministry (2Y4C).


Fall festival to be held at Morningside this weekend
