Taylor named Play 60 MVP

   Swainsboro Elemenatry School’s Allie Taylor has been selected as a 2017 Atlanta Falcons PLAY 60 MVP.

   She was one of 11 students from around the state to be selected as such. MVPs were chosen based on their conscious effort and commitment to eating healthy, staying active, and demonstrating sportsmanship at their school.

Morningside Baptist to celebrate homecoming

On October 1, Morningside Baptist Church will welcome past and present members, special singers, a keynote speaker, and the general public for homecoming. Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. without Sunday school preceding. Sandra and Friends will be the featured entertainment, and Bro. Louis Pearce will bring the message. Pumpkin patch and bake sale this weekend at Calvary UMC

Calvary UMC recently completed its preserving for this year’s pumpkin patch. This community event is held annually at the church on South Main Street in Swainsboro.
