   Funeral Services for Gladys Tyson Page, 88, of Swainsboro will be held Thursday, Aug. 10, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Hillcrest Baptist Church with Rev. James Ray Freeman officiating. Interment will follow at Swainsboro City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Durden-Hudson Funeral  Directors on Wednesday, Aug. 9, from 6 – 8 p.m. She died Sunday, August 6, 2017.

   Mrs. Gladys Tyson Page was born on March 28, 1929, in Canoochee to the late Joe and Curlie Powell Tyson. She retired from Swainsboro Sportswear after many years, was a well-known seamstress around the community, and was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. Page was a homemaker who loved gardening, cooking, taking care of children, traveling, going to the beach, and taking cruises. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Page; son, Dean Royce Page; sister, Mary Flanders; and two brothers, Earnest Tyson and Preston Tyson

   Survivors include one son, Donny (Linda) Roy Page of Houston, Tex.; one sister, Alma Brantley of Soperton; five grandchildren, Brandon Page of Muskogee, Okla., Adrian Page (Michael Bise) of Houston, Tex., Deana (Don) Cadle of Savannah, Cayla Page of Swainsboro, and Emily Shipp of Dallas; two great-grandchildren, Jolene Cadle and Ava Page; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

   Pallbearers are Charles Flanders, Allen Amerson, Brent Freeman, Cory Freeman, Elmer Thompson, and Josh Clements.

   Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.
