Wish the Twin City Recreation Department’s 12-and-under (12U) all-star team luck! They’ll be heading to Effingham County Wednesday, July 12, for their first game in the state tournament.
Heading into the tournament, the team has a few impressive feats under their belt already. They played in the Statesboro Firecracker Classic on May 31, won the championship, and brought home some hardware. They also played two tournaments in Lyons, one being the district tournament. They finished both of these as runners-up.
Team members are Bryson Barrett, Bryce Kearson, Huddson Henry, PJ Farnum, Drew Grimes, Lawson Mercer, Natavius Robertson, Jake Williams, Weston Moore, Charles Rehberg, Jackson Grey, and Caleb Avery. Coaches are Jim Mercer, Denny Barrett, Chris Kearson, and Robert Gray.
