Memorial services for Tina E. Hill, 56, of Metter were held Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Mt. Olive Primitive Baptist Church of Aline with Elder Wayne Fennell officiating. She died Thursday, April 6, 2017 at East Georgia Regional Center in Statesboro.
Ms. Tina E. Hill was born on June 16, 1960 in Savannah. She graduated from Metter High School in 1978 and from Swainsboro Tech with a cosmologist degree in 1982. She served in the United States Army, worked with CM Farms in Pulaski, and also worked as a UPS driver. Hill attended Mt. Olive Primitive Baptist Church and Metter Church of God. She loved the beach, lighthouses, and NASCAR, especially No. 3 Dale Earnhardt. Hill also enjoyed playing all sports, especially softball and basketball. She had a green thumb; she could grow anything. Her family and friends came first. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Roy and Ella Smith and Vernon and Irma Terrell.
Survivors include her mother, Alice (Louis) Hubbard of Metter; father, Charles (Glenda) Davis of Garden City; four sisters, Michelle (Allen) Harris of Pulaski, and Vickie (David) Gorham, Janice Morris, and Tracy (Dennis) Johnson, all of Metter; one brother, Charles (Sheila) Hill of Gilbert, Ariz.; three nieces, Christina (Trevor) Stewart, Alicia (Jason) Douglas, and Jennifer Hill; four nephews, Matthew (Erika) Strange, Chris (Fone) Hill, Benjamin (Kristin) Harris, and Jon Harris; godmother, Zobe Williams; and numerous aunts, uncles, great-nieces, great-nephews, and extended family.
Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors was in charge of arrangements.
