AMERICAN DIABETES ASSOCIATION ALERT DAY

by | March 28, 2017 10:06 am

National American Diabetes Association Alert Day is observed annually on the fourth Tuesday in March.  This day is a one-day “wake-up call” to inform the American public about the seriousness of diabetes and encourages all to take the diabetes risk test and learn about your family’s history of diabetes.

There is no cure for diabetes, but it can be managed. Balancing the food you eat with exercise and medicine ( if prescribed ) will help you control your weight and can keep your blood glucose in the healthy range.

This can help prevent or delay complications. Many people with diabetes live long and healthful lives.
