35 vendors to be on hand at spring festival

The City of Adrian’s mayor and city council will sponsor a spring festival at the ball park, located at 205 West Main Street behind City Hall, on April 1 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be a cake walk/bake sale, a bounce house, slides, games for children, a silent auction, a dunking booth, and more.
Entertainment on the slate include Dublin Boot Scooters from 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.; skits by Scott Baptist Church youth from 12:05 – 12:15 p.m.; David Oliver, ABC preacher from 12:30 – 1 p.m.; a second set of skits from Scott Baptist Church from 1 – 1:15 p.m.; performances by Stephanie’s Dance Explosion and Allayla Watkins, Miss Capital Outstanding Teen, from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m.; performances by Joy Bailey’s Georgia Dance Explosion from 2:45 – 3:45 p.m.; and Reborn Nation from 4 – 4:45 p.m.. Winners of the silent auction will be announced from 4:50 – 5 p.m.
A classic car cruise-in will take place at the festival as well. There will be no judging or prizes, but the community is invited to come and enjoy a variety of beautiful vehicles, from cars, trucks, bikes, antiques, classics, street rods, rat rods, and motorcycles.
The festival will feature a number of vendors, ranging from woodworking to a coffee shop that sells specialty blends. Currently, 35 have signed up to participate.

Ages 12 and under will be admitted freely. No alcohol or loud music will be tolerated. Shuttles will run to and from the park. Should weather not permit, the event will be moved to April 8 with the time schedule continuing as planned.
