Search warrant executed at Williams Street residence

On Thursday, March 24, a multi-agency group of law enforcement personnel served a search warrant at the residence of 207 Williams Street in Swainsboro. The warrant was secured following an extensive investigation into the sell and distribution of illegal drugs.

During the investigation, several arrest warrants were obtained on those individuals that distributed illegal drugs to an undercover agent throughout the investigation. Many of those warrants were for multiple sales of various illegal drugs from the Williams Street area.

Upon arrival at the residence on March 24, officers secured the residence and the surrounding area for officers’ safety prior to the residence being searched. Arrested at the scene were five individuals:

• Michael Anthony Foster: Trafficking Cocaine; Distribution of Cocaine (two counts); Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute; Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon; Possession of Firearm During Commission of a Felony; Theft by Taking; Robbery; Aggravated Battery; Hinder/Apprehend/Punish/Crime; and False Statements

• Travis Patterson: Trafficking Cocaine; Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute; Possession of Firearm During Commission of a Felony; Going Inside Guard Lines with Liquor or Drugs; and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon

• Joshua Patterson: Trafficking Cocaine; Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute; and Possession of Firearm During Commission of a Felony

• Randy Drummer: Trafficking Cocaine; Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute; Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon; and Possession of a Firearm During Commission of a Felony

• Kenneth Gillis: Trafficking Cocaine; Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute; Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon; Possession of a Firearm During Commission of a Felony; Hinter/Apprehend/Punish/Crime; and Conspiracy to Commit a Drug Offense

Those arrested were located at the residence at the time law enforcement executed the search warrant. Others fled the scene, were detained, and later released by officers. Following the targeted residence becoming secure, law enforcement conducted a detailed search of the house and surrounding area. A large quantity of illegal substances were located and secured by agents conducting the search. Also, in addition to illegal substances, agents located firearms, which were also secured as evidence in the case.

Those remaining at large and are being sought by law enforcement on multiple criminal charges are Steven Jermaine Greene, Russell C. Givens, Keith Bernard Young Jr. and Michael Antwon Coleman. Should anyone have information on these four individuals, please call the Emanuel County Sheriff’s Office or the Swainsboro Police Department. Information obtained will be kept confidential.

The agencies involved in the service of the warrants included officers from various agencies including Southeastern Regional Drug Enforcement Office, Georgia Bureau of Investigation, Chatham County K-9 Unit, Georgia MCCD K-9 Unit, Emanuel County Sheriff’s Office and the Swainsboro Police Department.
