Funeral services for Bobby Lawrence Miller, 71, of Twin City were held Thursday, Feb. 25, 2016 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Reverends Ray Braddy and George Archer officiating. Interment followed in the Eastbrook Cemetery near Swainsboro. He died Monday, Feb. 22, 2016 at his residence following an extended illness.
Mr. Bobby Lawrence Miller was born December 29, 1944 in Statesboro to the late Hubert Miller Sr. and Corine Graham Miller. He lived most of his life in Twin City, where he worked for EMCO Metal Products for over 30 years before retiring in 2007. Miller enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren and family. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Buddy Miller and Deryl Miller; and sister, Roberta Miller.
Survivors include his daughters, Donna (Roy) Rachels of Swainsboro, Jody (Scotty) Scarboro of Twin City; brothers, Tony (MaryAnn) Miller of Statesboro, Johnny (Nancy) Miller of Metter, Roger Miller of Statesboro; sister, Belinda DeLoach of Statesboro; grandchildren, Tyler Rachels of Swainsboro, Lamar (Heather) Rachels of Metter, Lacey Miller, Skyler Miller, and Scotty Scarboro Jr. all of Twin City, Heather (Brian) Frazier and Jessica Scarboro both of Swainsboro, and Krista Scarboro of Norristown; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers were Billy Daniels, Mike Johnson, Rosco Lewis, Lou Donaldson, Charles Anderson and William Wilkerson. Honorary pallbearers were the employees of EMCO Metal Products.
Chapman Funeral Home of Swainsboro was in charge of arrangements.
