Funeral services for Mr. Wayne Boyd Pooler, 75, of Canoochee, were held on Sunday, Aug. 30, 2015 at 2 p.m. in the Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel with Rev. Mark Wiggins officiating. Interment followed in the Pooler Family Cemetery near Canoochee. He died on Friday, Aug. 27, 2015 at his residence after an extended illness.
Mr. Pooler was born in Watertown, N.Y., was a truck driver for many years and was previously employed with Ellington Farms. He was preceded in death by his infant son; father, Vernon Pooler; brothers, Bernard Pooler, Alwin Pooler, and an infant brother.
Survivors include his wife, Becky Pooler of Canoochee and his mother, Dorothy Davis Pooler of Adams, N.Y.; eight daughters, Shelia Beutell, Debbie Reynolds, Annie and Deborah all of N.Y., Kim of N.J., Rebekah Wells of Wrens, Esther Macias of Louisville, and Sarah Sanches of Swainsboro; three sons, Kevin Pooler of Jacksonville, Fla., Jeff Pooler of Buffalo, N.Y., and Tim Pooler of N.Y.; three sisters, Carol, Mary and Joan, all of N.Y.; 18 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Pallbearers were James Bravo, Victor Sanchez, Robert Macias, Kevin Pooler, Jeff Pooler, and Trey Chesser. Honorary Pallbearers were Micky Waters and Billy Walden.
Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors was in charge of arrangements.
