Funeral services for Charles Seabrough, 68, were held Sunday, April 19, 2015 at 3 p.m. at the Greater St. James Baptist Church with Rev. Stanley Moore officiating. He died Tuesday, April 14, 2015 following an extended illness.
Mr. Seabrough was born October 2, 1946 in Emanuel County. He attended Emanuel County public schools and was a well-known brick mason by trade. He was a very gifted singer and for many years sang with the Gospel Lites and the Trumpets of Joy. He was preceded in death by his wife, Willie Mae Seabrough; his parents, Ola Mason Johnson and Lee Seabrough; two sisters, Edna Poole and Elmer Lloyd; and one brother, Arthur Seabrough.
Survivors include three daughters, Deidra Seabrough and Denise Sherrod, both of Swainsboro, and Andrea Brown of Locust Grove; four sons, Frederick Seabrough, Charles Seabrough, Jr. and Terrell Sherrod of Swainsboro and Calvin Seabrough of Vidalia; three brothers, Solomon Johnson and Jimmy Johnson, both of Swainsboro, and Adam “Bubba” Seabrough of Philadelphia, Penn.; one sister, Lila Bynum of Philadelphia, Penn.; 19 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were Calvin Lloyd, Meadie Phillips, Archie Dukes, Tommy Lloyd, Clifford Williams and Joe Davis.
Mosley’s Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
