Saturday, April 12, 2014, Miss Jenny Valentine was the guest of honor for a brunch and miscellaneous shower hosted at the lovely home of Mrs. Tammy Sammons. Other hostesses included Mrs. Katy Boatright, Mrs. Darlene Jordan, Mrs. Diane Morris, Mrs. Brenda Olliff and Mrs. Lynn Slater. The hostesses created a light and airy setting for this spring morning event.
The serving table was covered with a white linen and lace tablecloth decorated with a beautiful turquoise vase filled with baby pink snap dragons and tea roses, white mums, light pink freesia flowers, lemon balm and asparagus fern.
Guests were served a variety of delicious breakfast casseroles, pigs in a blanket, homemade pastries, fruits and juices.
The gift table was centered with an array of similar cut floras arranged in the groom elect’s brown and turquoise cowboy boot, which was later given to the bride-elect.
After a time for eating and socializing, guests and hostesses enjoyed presenting Miss Valentine with a variety of wonderful gifts. The morning provided a very fun and memorable time for everyone, especially the bride-to-be.
Special guests attending were Mrs. Marie Anderson, maternal grandmother of the groom-elect; Mrs. Mary Helen Fields, paternal grandmother of the groom-elect; Mrs. Lisa Sammons, mother of the groom-elect; and Mrs. Abby Edenfield, sister of the groom-elect.
Miss Valentine is the bride-elect of Mr. Cooper Fields. Their upcoming wedding is planned for May 17 at 7 p.m. at the groom-elect’s parents’ home near Nunez.
