Miss Jones and Mr. Beasley united in double ring ceremony

Miss Stephanie Estell Jones and Mr. Tyler Jordan Beasley were united in a lovely double ring ceremony March 15, 2014 at United Fellowship Baptist Church in Oak Park at 3 p.m. Reverend Steve Bryant of Lyons performed the ceremony.

   Miss Jones is the daughter of Penny Jones of Oak Park. Mr. Beasley is the son of Patricia Beasley of Oak Park and the late Arnold Beasley.

   The church was decorated with sunflowers, accented with burlap. Large white bows were also tied throughout. 

    Erin Beasley of McRae, cousin of the groom served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids included Lauren Bedgood of Swainsboro, friend of the bride and Jazmin Jones of Vidalia, niece of the bride and groom. They were lovely in strapless, navy blue, knee length dresses. Junior bridesmaid, Marina Warren of Oak Park, friend of the bride and groom, wore a navy and white dress. 

Each attendant carried a bouquet of beautiful sunflowers. 

   Flower girl, Zoey Gray of Statesboro, cousin of the bride, was adorable in a yellow and white sundress. She carried a white basket filled with flowers.

   West Bedgood, friend of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen included Gary Beasley of McRae, cousin of the groom and Terry Strange of Oak Park, friend of the bride and groom. Charlie Jones of Vidalia, nephew of the bride and groom was junior groomsman. Brayden Beasley of McRae, cousin of the groom, was ring bearer.

   The bride’s mother was lovely in a multi-colored dress, accented with a blue jacket.

   The lovely bride was escorted by her grandfather, Wayne Hopkins and given in marriage by her grandfather and mother.

   She chose a white strapless dipped neckline gown for her special day. The gown was accented with white jeweling and crystal rhinestones. Her finger-tip length veil was accented with crystal rhinestone jeweling along the edges. She carried a bouquet of sunflowers.

   The ceremony was directed by Mrs. Brenda Bryant of Lyons.


   Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the church social hall, hosted  by Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Williamson, Mrs. Jackie Curl, Mrs. Janice Stewart and Mrs. Susie Martin.

   Guests were greeted by Mr. Paul Warren. 

   Lovely Miss Hannah Williamson attended the bridal registry for guests to sign.

   The social hall was beautifully decorated throughout. Mason jars filled with sand and candles sat atop tables holding flowing white tablecloths and accented with burlap table runners.

   The bride’s cake was the traditional white with white icing. It was lined with burlap and sunflowers and topped with a “B”. Mrs. Magan Strange served the delicious creation. The groom’s cake was chocolate on chocolate with camouflage fondant. A scene depicting a bride dragging a groom was created for the topping of the cake. Miss. Victoria Strange served the groom’s cake. Both cakes were baked by Mrs. Magan Strange.

   For her traveling attire, the bride chose a pair of pink and white shorts and a black blouse. Following a cruise to the Bahamas, the couple will make their home in Swainsboro.


   On Friday, March 14, the groom hosted a rehearsal dinner at the church social hall. The bride-to-be was adorable in an orange knee-length dress.

   Guests were served a delicious meal of barbecue, brunswick stew, potato salad, baked beans and a variety of desserts.
