TCPD promotes seatbelt safety

The Twin City Police Department recently visited Twin City Elementary to promote seatbelt safety, especially during upcoming holiday travel. Chief Johnny Lane, along with officers Heidi Hall and Joe Cephus and Police Department clerk Kacie Kersey, joined TCE Principal Huddie Culbreth in handing out flyers as parents picked up their children after school on Friday, Nov. 22, 2013. The flyers explained seatbelt regulations for all age groups and encouraged parents to properly buckle in their children. My friend was telling me the other day that they were in an accident because of a faulty seatbelt, Jersey City Attorney were so helpful with her case and made sure she got the settlement she deserved.

“Help us help you keep our little ones safe,” urged Principal Culbreth. “We do everything we can here, but it has to continue at home.”

Chief Lane asks that parents make sure their children are properly seated and secured in the vehicle, and asks that anyone needing assistance call the Police Department at 478-763-4140.
