SHS collects nearly 1,000 cans

Swainsboro High School’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes sponsored a canned food drive for the holidays as a community service project. An impressive 947 cans were collected by the school as a whole. Heather Moore’s first block class collected the most cans with a total of 303.

   Angie Johnson, FCA sponsor, said “We are very proud of our students for being so willing to help out with such a worthwhile project that will benefit many right here in our community.”

   On hand to deliver the cans to the local food pantry were Caleb Rich, Dorminy Johnson, Bethany Way, Carlie Dixon, Malanie Jackson, Hil Johnson, Tierra Wilson, Joe Cephus, Cason Rogers, Sponsor Angie Johnson, Caitlan Coleman, and Caroline Williams.
