    Swainsboro Primary School students held a canned food drive to help local food charities in honor of the Thanksgiving Holiday. Kindergarten students brought in 681 cans. First grade donated 1,190 cans and second grade brought in 920 cans of food.  The top class totals were: Gina Brown’s class with 168 cans, Cindy Riner’s class turning in 194 cans, and the class turning in the most cans was Heather Canady’s class. … Read More

    SHS Lady Tigers closed out their terrific Sweet 16 season with an awards banquet this past week. Four Tigers made the All-Region team; Jalen Allen, Sierra Peebles, Kaylee Brown, and Savannah Jackson all garnered this selection.     Swainsboro High School’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes sponsored a canned food drive for the holidays as a community service project. An impressive 947 cans were collected by the school as a whole. Heather Moore’s first block class collected the most cans with a total of 303.

       November 18

       Victim on Ricksville Rd. stated that an unknown suspect opened the doors to his vehicle while he was in his residence, but nothing was missing from his vehicle.
