On Tuesday, October 29, East Georgia State College held its 3rd Annual “Save 2nd Base” Students vs. Staff and Faculty charity softball game to raise money for breast cancer research and awareness. The Staff/Faculty team, captained by Ashley Woods, won for the second year in a row with a score of 5-2.

The event was organized by the Office of Student Life with a great deal of help from the Bobcat Athletics Department. “Save 2nd Base” merchandise such as t-shirts, wristbands, cowbells, and slap sticks were for sale, and all proceeds from the merchandise sales and the game will be donated to the Young Survival Coalition, which benefits college aged breast cancer patients and survivors.
