Miss Rachel Michelle Page, bride-elect of Mr. Chad Burkhalter, was honored with a “Pampered Chef” shower Sunday evening, May 19, 7 p.m. at Oak Island Crab House.
The entry had an apron displayed for guests to sign with kitchen advice and well-wishes and a beautiful arrangement of white oak-leaf hydrangeas. A round table held appetizers of crab dip and assorted fresh vegetables with dip. Dining tables were decorated with red and white runners and arrangements of white daises.
Honorees were seated with members of their immediate family. Place cards were assorted sizes of River Rock labeled with family member’s name.
Guests were entertained as they watched a “Cook-Off” between the future bride and groom who used Pampered Chef kitchen tools to prepare the Crab Dip recipe which had been served as one of the appetizers. The “cooks” were coached through food preparation by Whitney Lawrence, Pampered Chef consultant.
Guests enjoyed a Low County Boil.
The bride-to-be chose a lovely sleeveless red dress with horizontal tiers of ruflles for the occasion, complete with a white daisy corsage.
In addition to parents and siblings of the bride and groom-to-be, their nephews were the most special guests: River Thomas Cooper, nephew of the bride and Brooks Charles Burkhalter, nephew of the groom.
Hostesses for the special occasion were Eneca and Whitney Lawrence, Dale and Debbie Williams, Jerry and Jamie Lawrence, Courtney and Toni Terwilliger and Don and Tammy Wilkes.
