Bride-elect Miss Natalie Olliff of Metter and Mr. Clint Turner of Canochee were honored with an evening of celebration on February 9, 2013. The Engagement Celebration was held in the beautifully decorated home of Dr. and Mrs. Dorsey Smith. The Smith’s graciously welcomed Natalie and Clint’s family and friends into their home to celebrate their upcoming wedding, April 27, 2013.
Fresh floral arrangements, designed and implemented by Mr. Robert Bowen of Metter, were absolutely breathtaking. A focal point of the celebration was the dining room, which was almost indescribable. A large camellia swag, worked into the crystal chandelier and flowed into two tall arrangements, of red and white camellias, was placed on each end of the table. Crystals dropped from the swag to add interest, texture and sparkle to the beautiful food table.
Guests enjoyed a wide variety of hot and cold Hors d’ oeuvres prepared and served by Lucile Braswell of Swainsboro. The menu consisted of shrimp cocktail, meatballs, cheese dip, marinated cheese cubes, chicken salad, finger sandwiches, pork loin sandwiches and marinated asparagus. Sweet potatoes and mashed potatoes with toppings, fruit, brownies, and chewy cake were also served from the buffet.
The trophy room was a favorite spot for guests to enjoy the festive occasion with the bride and groom-to-be. They enjoyed visiting with family and friends that came to wish them happiness in their new life together. This was such a special occasion for the bridal couple.
The bride-to-be wore a floor length silver sequin gown for the occasion. Her hair was lovely in loose curls that flowed past her shoulders. Natalie completed her ensemble with silver sequin heels.
The hostesses presented the couple with a large piece of art done on canvas. The couple presented each hostess with a gift of appreciation for their spectacular evening.
Hostesses for this very memorable party for the bridal couple and their families were Mr. and Mrs. Wes Clifton, Mr. and Mrs. Butch Lane, Mr. and Mrs. Randall Baggett, Mr. and Mrs. Brad Phillips, Mr. and Mrs. Emmett Warren, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Clifton, Mr. and Mrs. Mark Bland, Mr. and Mrs. Tommie Rigdon, Ms. Jean Melton, Mr. and Mrs. John R Bowen, Mr. and Mrs. R.E.
