The East Georgia State College Bobcats ended the regular season with a 72-56 win over Waycross College. The win puts the Bobcats at 27-2 overall with a 19-1 record in the conference, only falling on the road to Chattahoochee Tech, who finished second in the GCAA.

The win puts a nice stamp on the best regular season in the program’s young history. The Bobcats got up early, as they have all year, and held on in the second half whenever the Swampwolves would try to go on a run.

Trey Hagood went for 18 points with four rebounds, five assists, and four steals. D.J. Felder put up another double-double with 12 points, 10 rebounds, two steals, and one assist.

Jordan Johnson only scored six points but ended up with five rebounds, four assists, and three steals.

Coco Brown continued his very strong play off the bench of late with 10 points, five rebounds, one assist, one steal, and one block.

The Bobcats, having won the regular season conference title, will host the conference playoffs and have the number one seed. Their first game will be against Central Georgia Technical College on March 5 at 7:30 p.m.

A preview will be up for the Central Georgia Tech game prior to the start of the tournament. The Lady Bobcats also pulled out a 46-35 win over Andrew College in their final game of the season.
