Barbara Jane Mullen Karrh, 82

Funeral services for Barbara Jane Mullen Karrh, 82, were held Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at 11 a.m. in the First Baptist Church with Dr. Robert Blankenship officiating. Interment was in the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Dellwood. She died Saturday, August 25, 2012 at Emanuel Medical Center.
Mrs. Karrh was born in Wilson, N.C. and was a graduate of Sullins College in Virginia. She worked with Delta Airlines and was later co-owner of Rebecca’s Ladies Shop in Swainsboro. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, the Trailblazers Sunday School Class, the WMU and the Ida Belle Williams Book Club. Actively involved in numerous charitable and civic organizations, Mrs. Karrh worked diligently with the Emanuel County chapter of the American Cancer Society and the Relay for Life. She was preceded in death by her father, Malcolm Mullen, and mother and step-father, Louise Cheek Miller and H. Vise Miller.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Tobe Coleman Karrh of Swainsboro; two sons, Bill Karrh of Roswell and Jim Karrh (Alison) of Little Rock, Ark.; three grandsons, Miller Karrh, Coleman Karrh and Wilson Karrh all of Little Rock, Ark.
Pallbearers were Tony Bellamy, Wade Williams, Stuart Bowen,Tim Goodman, Raymond Hendrix and Bobby Seamans. Honorary escorts were members of the Trailblazers Sunday School Class and the Ida Bell Williams Book Club.
