35th annual Emanuel County and Southeast Georgia Pageant to be held

   The Miss Emanuel County/Miss Southeast Georgia Board will proudly present the 35th annual Emanuel County & Southeast Georgia Pageant, “Queens of Pop” Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. at the Swainsboro/Emanuel County Auditorium. 

   The pageant will consist of Miss and Outstanding Teen competitions including interview, talent, evening wear, fitness and on-stage question. By the end of the evening, four new young women will be crowned to represent our area in the Miss Georgia & Miss Georgia’s Outstanding Teen Pageants to be held in Columbus in June 2013.

   Returning to the stage to entertain the audience will be current queens: 2012 Miss Emanuel County & 2012 Miss Georgia congeniality winner, Morgan Lothridge; 2012 Miss Southeast Georgia, Lakea Burrison; Miss Emanuel County’s Outstanding Teen, Miley Keyton; Miss Southeast Georgia’s Outstanding Teen, Sydney Hillman.  Miss Southeast Georgia 2009, Carly Floyd Benton will be welcomed back to the stage as mistress of ceremonies.

   Contestants in the Outstanding Teen pageant are Adrianna Minton of Swainsboro, Angel Robertson of Metter, Monica Grace Wolfe of Dacula, Brooke McBroom of Swainsboro, Summer Nicole Ellington of Swainsboro, Caitlan Elizabeth Coleman of Kite, Ivey Haven Rowland of Wrightsville, Jada McKay Ussery of Vidalia, Mallory Elizabeth Daniel of Martinez and Sarah DeLoach of Claxton.

   Competing for the Miss Emanuel County title are Austin Carruth of Swainsboro, Allison Reeves Durden of Swainsboro, Sierra Beasley of Twin City, Kaidy English of Swainsboro, and Jessica Ali Jennings of Waynesboro.

   Southeast Georgia contestants include Michelle Johnson of Warner Robins, Colleen Stafford of St. Simons Island, Keri Lynn Knight of Uvalda, Katelyn Page Pawlowski of Midland, Kayla Kirkland of Millen, Madison Phillips of Statesboro, Courtney Hinesley of Grayson, Amanda Lawler of Santa Claus, Madison Brett of Kite, Audrey Darnell of Cumming, Rachel Danielle Hendrix of Vidalia, Amanda Scott of Lincolnton, and Haley Henderson of Columbus.

   The pageant is still searching for boys and girls ages 4 – 12 to join the “Prince & Princess” program of the pageant. The entry fee of $100 will include an onstage appearance during the evening wear competition as a contestant escort in the pageant. It also includes a professional photo while on stage with appointed contestant (courtesy of Gambrell Photography), Friday night meet and greet with contestants and reigning queens and two general admission tickets. Each princess should wear a white dress of her choice and each prince may dress in his favorite Sunday attire.
