Shoppers get ready – the semi-annual Ultimate Yard Sale will

make another appearance in downtown Swainsboro this weekend.

Starting at 7 a.m. on Saturday, November 5, the Boneyard, Roger

Shaw Street, and Patriots Square will become a shopper’s paradise

as vendors fill the downtown area selling everything from

electronics to sports equipment to clothing and more.

The event, sponsored by the Downtown Development Authority of

Swainsboro and the Swainsboro-Emanuel County Chamber of Commerce,

is held each June and November.

“All spaces at Roger Shaw Street and Patriots Square have been

reserved,” said Director of Downtown Development, Lynn Brinson,

“However, the Boneyard, with the exception of the shelter and

pavilion, will be available on a first-come, first-served basis on

the day of the event.”

There is no charge to participate the event, which is expected

to run until 11:00 a.m. It is important to note that the Boneyard

and Roger Shaw Street will be closed to traffic from 7 a.m. – 12

noon.

“Whether you plan on coming to the Ultimate Yard Sale to sell

your wares or to shop for something unique, it always has a great

turnout and it is always a lot of fun,” said Brinson.
