Danny Youmans and Renee (Clark) Youmans of Twin City welcomed a

sweet baby girl, Chanlee Elizabeth, at 6 lbs. and 12 oz. Helping to

welcome her home was her big brother, Clark Hall.

I wrote an article in last week’s paper about the ECI prom.

First of all, let me say, Ms. Tabor, Ms. Hooks, Mr. English, and

everyone that helped with the prom, I am sorry for the article. I

meant no harm. That was the “opinion of 4 people.” I graduated from

ECI along with several people of my family. I love that school and

I would do anything to help it. I spoke with several people–one

was Michelle Mercer–and she said everything was wonderful. All the

decorations were used again on Saturday night for the 8th grade

dance and everyone had a great time. No one got paid to do all the

decorations and all the work, so everyone, great job!

We want to say congratulations to Baylee Mosley and Gabi Wright

of Twin City for making the All-Star Team. Way to go, girls!

Cullen Coursey, the 10 month old son of Amy and Nathan Coursey

of Lyons, had minor surgery May 27 in Statesboro. His grandparents

are Lamar and Earlene Archer of Twin City. We wish him well.

A huge 3-family yard sale will be held June 4 and June 5

beginning at 8 a.m. on both days at 11375 Metter Highway, Twin

City, before you get to the Lyons Club. Some really great deals

include clothes 50¢ each or fill a bag for $5. Hope to see you

there!

Faith Akridge, daughter of Shane and Anne Marie Akridge, had

surgery on Friday, May 27. She is 1 year old. Faith has been

through a lot. She was born at 29 weeks and no one thought she

would make it, but through the grace of God, she did. We wish her

well.

Dorothy Lanier of Twin City passed away on May 20 in Statesboro.

Her brother is James Neal of Twin City. Our prayers go out to the

family.

Homecoming will be held June 5 at Twin City Church of God.

Services start at 10:30 a.m. Special guest singers are Kendall

Spirits. Dinner will be served after services. The Rev. John

Woodcock and all members invite everyone to join them.

We hope everyone remembered fallen soldiers this past Memorial

Day weekend.

This week is short due to the holiday, but next week we will be

back strong!
