Youth dies from gunshot wound

   According to Emanuel County Sheriff J. Tyson Stephens, on Monday, May 30, 2011 at approximately 3:30 p.m., deputies and emergency medical personnel responded to a residence in the southern area of Emanuel County in reference to a person suffering from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Tennis registration announced

   Swainsboro-Emanuel County Recreation Department will hold

registration for tennis lessons beginning June 1 at the Recreation

Department, 632 McLeod Bridge Road, Swainsboro. Registration hours

are 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Registration fee is $25.

   Tennis lessons for 9th -12 graders and adults will be held June

20-24 from 9 a.m. until 12 noon. These lessons are for “A” players

   Emanuel County Sheriff’s Deputies reported:

   May 23

   Victim stated that an unknown suspect broke into her residence

on S.W. Railroad Ave. and stole multiple items.

   Victim on Kemp Rd. stated that her neighbor’s dog keeps getting

loose from it’s chain and chases her children.

   Victim stated that an unknown suspect damaged her mailbox on

Summer Meal Program announced

in the USDA’s Summer Meal Program again this summer.  The program

will provide meals free of charge at participating sites to all

children 18 years of age and younger.

use and instruction in safe food processing techniques on June 9,

2011 at 7:30 am.
