Chaplain Judy Dean Davis, 66

   Chaplain Judy Dean Davis, age 66, died Monday, Feb. 21, 2011. Funeral services were held Friday, Feb. 25, 2011 at 2 p.m.  at William Grove Holiness Church with Pastors Bill and Rita Harper and Bishop Bertha Jones officiating. Interment followed in Swainsboro City Cemetery.

   Pallbearers were Bryan McSween, Donovan Ellis, Mark Smith, Don Ellis, Brandon Howell, Jeff Ross, Ray Caven and Keith Rowe.

   Chaplain Davis was born in Minneapolis, Mn. She attended Lee University in Cleveland, Tenn. During her ministry she served the Church of God in Georgia and Ohio. She also served as chaplain in the Georgia Department of Corrections. She established the Chaplain department in the Church of the Living God. She also served as chaplain with Emanuel Medical Center. She was a devoted and caring minister in the Church of God.

   She was preceded in death by Rev. Joel and Myrtle Davis and Rev. Joseph Howell.

   Survivors include foster parent, Mrs. Joseph Howell; foster sisters, Teresa Caven, Renee Willis, Josie Smith and families of Warner Robins; foster brother, Richard Lee Davis of Phoenix City, Ala.; and other relatives and friends.

   Mosley’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
