OP High School reunion to be held

The Pendleton Creek Community Church will have their annual October Fest Saturday, Oct. 30a t 4 p.m. There will be games, hay rides and refreshments. A cordial invitation is extended. The pastor s Rev. Gary Roberson.

There will be a cancer benefit for Deborah Barwick, wife of Billy Barwick, Saturday, Nov. 6 from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. They will have chicken plates, a band will be playing and a free car show. It will be held at Mill Pond Store in Twin City.

We would like to wish a special happy birthday to Corbie Cartrette on November 3. We hope she has a great day and many more.

Congratulations to Zachary Peebles who killed an eight point buck Friday evening. Thank God that is one we want have to worry about running across the road in front of us.

Mrs. Judy Phillips was Thursday guest of her mother, Hazel Sweat, of Soperton and they went out to eat at the Golden Carrol in Dublin.

Garland and Tina Peebles visited Lisa and Benito Martinez in Hazelhurst Friday.

Shaw Wiseman and Amber Edenfield visited Garland and Tina Peebles, Nicolas and Zachary Saturday.

The Calvary Assembly located on Hwy. 292 East of Vidalia will have Evangelist Richard Kitchens ministering Sunday, Oct. 31 at 10:30 a.m. Come and be a part of this exciting service. Everyone is welcome. The pastor is Rev. Frank Harrelson.

The Vidalia First Assembly of God will have homecoming Sunday, Nov. 7. Everyone is invited to come and bring a covered dish meal and enjoy the day.

Mrs. Debbie Bragdon went to Reidsville Saturday and attended the Hackle family reunion.

Bonnie and Buddy Paradice’s two grandchildren, Kyleigh and Dugan Johnson, was their Saturday spend the night guests and went to church with them Sunday morning and they went our to lunch after the service. Mrs. Bonnie Paradice visited Lade Williamson and Debbie Bragdon Sunday afternoon.

Mrs. Dorothy Wickstrom and Dinah Williams was Sunday dinner guest of Wayne and Karen Wickstrom.

The Oak Park Church of God will have a fall festival Saturday, Oct. 30 from 5-8 p.m. They will have games and prizes for children and also have a cake walk. They will have hot dogs, chips and kool aid. The pastor is Rev. Phillip Kirkland.

The Corinth Free Will Baptist Church will have a Brush Arbor Revival Monday, Nov. 8-12. There will be a different speaker each night. The service will begin at 7 p.m. .A cordial invitation is extended. Intern pastor will be Rev. Gene Cross.

We would like to wish a special happy birthday to Jonathan Parkey on October 30. We hope he has a great day and many more.

The Pendleton Springs Baptist Church will not have a service Sunday evening October 31.

The Oak Park High School Class of 1956 will have a class reunion Saturday, Nov. 6 at Captains Corner Restaurant in Vidalia at 11:30 a.m. If you went to school with us come. Everyone will be responsible for their bill.
