Miss Rebecca L. Gay and Mr. Jason McNeely were honored at a miscellaneous shower at Hawhammock Baptist Church in the fellowship hall on April 25. The shower took place after the evening worship service. Hostesses for the shower were members of the church.

Miss Gay wore a black and gray floral print knee-length dress. Mr. McNeely wore jeans and a blue and white button down shirt.

Everyone enjoyed a delicious meal provided by the church family.

Mrs. Carol Steedley led a white Bible ceremony in which several girls gave flowers, ribbon and a white Bible to the couple that symbolize the different parts of a blessed marriage. Hannah Gomez, Betty Gomez, Hannah Pressey, Bonnie McNeely, Rachel McNeely, Janna Tucker and Ashely Galo helped with the presentation.

The couple received many nice gifts from the members of the church family. Mr. McNeely thanked everyone at the conclusion of the shower and welcomed everyone to join them at the upcoming wedding. Adeline and Spencer Galo were special helpers to the honored couple while they opened their gifts.

Special guests were parents of the bride, Cliff and Judy Gay; sister and brother-in -law, Janna and Brett Tucker; brother, Rhett Gay; grandparents, Jane Rowland and J.C. and Mary Gay; cousin, Miriam Durden; groom-elect’s parents, Craig and Sallie McNeely; sister, Bonnie McNeely; groom-elect’s grandparents, Shirley McNeely, Frances Stewart and Billy and Bobbie McNeely; and the groom-elect’s aunt, uncle and cousin, Richard and Renae McNeely and Rachel McNeely.
