Kody Ray Stoddard, a dual-enrolled senior at Toombs County High School and Brewton Parker College, has been awarded the Georgia Division UDC Memorial Scholarship. The award will be presented at the Toombs County High School honors night, May 10. This scholarship may be re-awarded each semester for a maximum of four years or until his course of study is completed, whichever comes first. Memorial Scholarships are made possible by contributions from Chapters or individuals wishing to honor a deceased member, friend, or loved one. He was nominated for this scholarship by the Emanuel Rangers Chapter No. 2318 United Daughters of the Confederacy in Swainsboro.

Kody Ray Stoddard will enroll at Georgia Southern University and plans a course of study in engineering while participating in Army ROTC. He is the son of Billy Ray and Deanna Stoddard.

Mr. Stoddard is the third great grandson of Cannon Cooper, who served honorably in Company B, 57th Regiment, Georgia Infantry, CSA, during the War Between the States.
