Miss Walsh, Mr. McCook announce engagement

Diane Walsh of Metter announces the engagement of her daughter, LaTasha Walsh, to Scott McCook of Metter.

    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Rev. Allen Wilburn and the late Ola Mae Wilburn. She is a 2000 graduate of Metter High School and a 2002 graduate of Southeastern Tech, with a major in accounting.

    The future groom is the son of Debra Thompson of Metter and Gene and Mona McCook of Twin City. He is the grandson of Talmadge and Ella Hadden of Metter, Howard and Billie McCook of Twin City, Freddie and Ann Layton of Milledgeville and the late Onnie Thompson. He is employed with Motes Heating and Air in Metter.

    The couple has planned a small garden wedding on May 8, 2010, at the home of the groom’s grandparents, Talmadge and Ella Hadden. Invitations will be sent.
