TSA attends State Conference

The Swainsboro High School Technology Student Association recently attended the 48th Annual State Leadership Conference. The conference took place in Athens, Georgia. At the conference TSA members represented their school by competing against the best in the state, exercising their right to vote, forming friendships that will last for a lifetime, and touring the beautiful city of Athens.

Swainsboro High School state finalists included Ty Gilmore, 4th in Career Comparisons; Owen Bailey, 4th and top 16 in Dragster Design time trials; Joe Machado, Addison Coleman, & Steven Chyrsosferidis, 6th in Systems Control Technology; Jesse Newsome & Mara Usry, 2nd in Cyberspace Pursuit; Addison Coleman & Steven Sylvia, 6th in Technology Problem Solving; and Mara Usry, 3rdin Essays on Technology and 3rd in Outstanding Student.

Those attending the conference were Jess Bush (advisor), Teresa Davis (judge), Stacey & Russ Yeomans (judges), Doug Williams, Steven Chyrsosferidis, Quin Jones, Steven Sylvia, Joe Machado, Jesse Newsome, Addison Coleman, Tommy Beasley, Katt Thompson, Gretsy Blanche, Maranda Usry, and Mara Usry.
