Mrs. Helen B. Whitehead, age 81, of Swainsboro died Monday, Dec. 28, 2009, at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta after an extended illness.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009 at 3:30 p.m. in the Eastbrook Cemetery with Rev. Jamie Archer officiating.
The family will receive friends at Durden-Hudson Funeral Home Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009 from 1 – 3 p.m..
Pallbearers will be grandsons and sons-in-Law.
Mrs. Whitehead was a native of Dodge County, a homemaker, charter member of the Swainsboro Moose Club and a Methodist.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willis L. and Hettie Rowland Brown; daughter, Lynn Whitehead; and son, Bubba Passmore.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Alex Bragg of Millen, and Michelle and Michael Lewis of Garfield; one son and daughter-in-law, James Edward and Lavon Passmore of Swainsboro; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Evelyn Long of Jeffersonville, Mae and Ronald Roland of Eastman, Myrtle and Ray Jones of Eatonton and Hazel and Henry A Brooks of Macon; one brother, Marvin Brown of Chester; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.
