Haunted House a success

The first annual Haunted House at EAC was a great success! Thank you to all the volunteers who made it possible. The event, sponsored by the Downtown Development Authority, was part of an ongoing effort to provide activities and entertainment to residents of Swainsboro and Emanuel County. DDA Manager, Anthony Faris worked tirelessly along with volunteer and Emanuel Artist Guild member Jen Meadows to pull off the event. The Emanuel Arts Council provided the location and set materials to create the different scenes, and members of the EAC Board of Directors participated too. Donna Brinson and Shanna Miller, both of whom work at the Chamber of Commerce created the vampire and werewolf forest and spent all three nights acting out terrorizing scenes. Truly a community undertaking, the Haunted House brought together a diverse group of people for one common goal.
Also thanks to all the folks who came out to enjoy the frightful fun. Though the cans have not been counted it is certain that we will have a sizeable donation for the Emanuel County Food Pantry. The need for food pantry donations has increased due to the tough economy, and it gives the DDA and EAC great pleasure to make this contribution. We look forward to bringing more Haunted House fun next year.
