For the final concert in their “Singin’ Summer Sundays” series, First Baptist Church, Swainsboro, will host “Common Garments”, a southern gospel quartet, on August 16 at 6 p.m.
The quartet, consisting of Rodney Jacobs, Stan Sheppard, Mark Clark, and Darrell Dunn, is home based in Cordele Georgia. They present a program that honors God, shares the good news and blesses people.
Their vocal harmony is based around the strong lead voice of Darrell Dunn. Mark Clark is a vibrant tenor who supplies a sparkling high harmony. Stan Sheppard sings the baritone part that solidifies their vocal blend. Rodney Jacobs, with his deep bass tones, rounds out the vocals with a solid foundation. Each member is capable of singing featured parts and various vocal harmonies which gives “Common Garments Quartet” a variety of options in their musical selections.
Each group member is a born-again Christian and has been involved in Christian music for many years. God has blessed in molding these four lives into something He can use for His purpose.
The concert is free and you are invited. For further information, please call the church office at 237-7564.
