Suspects arrested in armed robbery

Detective Sargeant Joe Cephus arrested and charged Tony Hackett, 23, with the armed robbery on N. Racetrack St. which took place on July 18 at around 4:20 p.m. The first suspect in the case, Maurice Pullens, 20, who was arrested last week, was also charged with armed robbery. Both young men are from Swainsboro.
In other news, Sgt. Brian Moore and Detective David Way attended a 40-hour digital photography and basic film exposure class at the Georgia Public Training Academy in Forsyth. The class taught them how to move from film to digital photography as well as how to take photos of crime scenes and accidents and the intricacies of macro and micro, lightpainting, etc. with digital cameras. They also learned important techniques for processing evidence for documentation.
