Mr. Frye, Miss Youmans honored with handyman shower

Spivey Pond House was the setting for a handyman shower honoring Peyton Frye and his fiancée, Brooke Youmans, Friday, April 11. Guests were invited into the pond house and offered a variety of appetizers and beverages served by Alex and Martha Grindler.
The house and deck were beautifully decorated with red geraniums, mandevillas, and ferns. Potted plants in shades of purple, yellow, white and red were wrapped with burlap and tied with raffia to adorn the tables.
Mr. Mitchell Fagler welcomed everyone and introduced family members and out of town guests. After the blessing, Ms. Linda Sconyers, Mrs. Carol Canady, Mrs. Joan Davis and Mrs. Linda Torpy assisted in serving the buffet. Guests enjoyed a delicious low country boil with all the trimmings. A choice of lemon or chocolate delight was offered for dessert.
After dinner, Peyton and Brooke opened their many “handyman”gifts. The hosts and hostesses presented the couple with a basket of grill accessories. Those assisting in entertaining were Carol Canady, Chad and Jill Canady, Joan and Donald Davis, Mitchell and Stephanie Fagler, Alex and Martha Grindler, M.L. and Mary Pate Gay, Jody and Andrea Lamb, Linda Sconyers, Sonny and Kaye Stephens, John and Linda Torpy and Chuck Wofford.
Special guests included Mike and Vickie Youmans, parents of the bride-elect, Marie Hutcheson, of Adrian, and Malvadine Youmans, grandmothers of the bride-elect, Butch and Melanie Frye, parents of the groomelect, Nell and Lacy Frye, of Millen, and Jane and Gene Thomas, of Austell, grandparents of the groom-elect.
