Mr. Jess Bush, self-titled Eternal Grand Master of the technology lab, is the son of the school’s nurse, Mrs. Kay Bush. He is the husband of Mrs. Connie Bush and the father of Tucker Bush, age ten months.

A graduate of SHS’s class of ’93, Mr. Bush earned his Associate Degree in Arts from East Georgia. He then earned his Bachelor of Science from Georgia Southern University in Education. While teaching at Dade County High School, Mr. Bush began Graduate school at Georgia Southern. He will soon continue his education at Georgia Southern.

Mr. Bush teaches the Foundations of Engineering and Technology, Engineering Concepts, and Engineering Applications. He first taught at Dade County High School, located in the Tennessee Alabama Georgia (TAG) corner of Georgia. After four and half years of teaching at DCHS, Mr. Bush decided to return to Swainsboro to grace us with his towering presence.

Mr. Bush’s favorite part of teaching is being able to interact with the students. His funniest memories of teaching, however, are at the expense of the students; Mr. Bush loves to laugh as the students sink in their cardboard boats at the Fall Leadership Conference.

As the sponsor of TSA (Technology Student Association), Mr. Bush has spent countless hours helping many students with numerous problems concerning technology. One of his biggest accomplishments this year is allowing The Prowler’s Staff the use of his lab. Without his gracious help, The Prowler would never have reached publication. Thank you, Mr. Bush!
