The girls’ volleyball team hosted the volleyball matches at SHS on Thursday August 16. The game began at 5:00 p.m. Participating teams were SHS, Savannah Christian, and Toombs County. Before the tri-match tournament began, team member Chasity Passmore commented, “I hope we do really well. I think we will play our hardest and do our best. I just hope it is enough because we are playing really tough teams.”

During the first game, the Tigers kept their heads up, even though they were beat by Savannah Christian. The scores were 5-25 and 6-25. The second set of matches against Toombs County went better than the first matches. Although the Tigers were not victorious, many of the players felt better about their abilities to play. The scores for that match were 25-12 and 25-23.

Courtney Roberson, another player, stated her opinion on the outcome of the games, “We went out with a positive attitude and lost with a positive attitude.”

Coach Charlean Love has predictions for this season as well, “We have a lot of new players and experienced players. We should have a great season if we work hard and try our best.” No matter what, we will always support our Lady Tigers!
